Description
This one-of-a-kind El Rey Button Lock pairs Santa Fe Stoneworks' precision craftsmanship with the extraordinary artistry of Wilfred Valtakis II of Chipped in Metal. Featuring a Damasteel® Hakkapella blade and luminous Mother of Pearl scales, this custom knife is a true collector's piece.
The titanium frame has been meticulously hand engraved with a geometric basket weave pattern, intentionally designed to complement the flowing lines of the Damasteel® Hakkapella blade. Using specialized electric anodizing brushes, Wilfred individually applies color to the engraved titanium, creating vibrant, layered hues that shift with changing light. Every anodized finish is created entirely by hand, making each engraved knife impossible to duplicate.
Recognized for his innovative approach to titanium engraving and anodizing, Wilfred Valtakis II blends traditional hand engraving with modern coloring techniques to produce exceptional works of functional art. The intricate basket weave engraving creates remarkable texture and depth while visually echoing the distinctive pattern of the Hakkapella Damascus.
Hand-assembled by Santa Fe Stoneworks and individually engraved and finished by Chipped in Metal, this one-of-one El Rey represents the highest level of modern knife craftsmanship.
One knife. One artist. One extraordinary work of functional art.
